Pure Reason Revolution - Coming Up To Consciousness (Standard CD Jewelcase)
Limited shipping areas
"Coming Up To Consciousness" is Pure Reason Revolution’s sixth studio album, and the third of its post-hiatus renaissance that began with 2020's "Eupnea" and continued in 2022's "Above Cirrus". Like those two predecessors, the new record is intensely personal. Its eight tracks are all between four and seven minutes long - concise by PRR standards - and they grapple with darkness of various kinds. While the band's distinctive style remains, melding prog and pop through dreamy moods, epic riffs and angelic harmonies, Courtney and Greg Jong also tried to go somewhere a bit different, drawing on influences like Talk Talk, Elliot Smith, The Smile and even Arctic Monkeys in addition to perennial favourites - especially Pink Floyd. Indeed, legendary session musician Guy Pratt, who has worked with Pink Floyd among myriad iconic acts, provided bass guitar on seven of the eight tracks, with Jon Sykes from The Pineapple Thief playing bass on one song. Bruce Soord, also of The Pineapple Thief, mixed the album in stereo & for the first time for PRR in Dolby Atmos & 5.1 Surround Sound. "Coming Up To Consciousness" will be available on Ltd CD+DVD Digipak (including 5.1 Surround Sound & High Resolution 24-bit stereo mixes), Standard CD Jewelcase, Digital Album (also in Dolby Atmos) as well as Limited Gatefold Colored ReVinyl LP. ReVinyl is a sustainable alternative where the vinyl record is produced using 100% recycled PVC granulate from material recovery (e.g. shredding of edge trimmings and other production returns).

After 24 years, NIGHTINGALE's landmark third full-length, “I”, is now remastered by songwriter/frontman/producer Dan Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia, Oceans Of Slumber, etc.). First released in 2000, this reissue will be made available as Limited Deluxe 2CD Jewelcase with O-Card (Incl. 7 bonus tracks as well as another 18 bonus tracks on the second disc) and for the first time ever also come out on vinyl. “I” features some of NIGHTINGALE’s most celebrated songs, including “Alonely”, “Scarred for Life”, “The Game” and “I Return”.
